The Birmingham Bar Young Lawyers Section is hosting this "progressive" CLE (immediately following Coffee with the Judges) with the civil judges of Jefferson County to gain an overview and understanding of what each Court does, what each Court's particular policies and procedures are, including uniform scheduling orders, and what each Court's jurisdictional parameters are.  Attendees will hear from a panel of judges in each civil court (District, Circuit and Probate), who will cover these basic topics and will lead a panel discussion about problems they see in young lawyers' habits and practice pointers to help young lawyers gain more experience and knowledge in that particular court.

District Court Panel - Judge Jack Lowther, Judge John Amari, and Judge Robert Bynon.  Circuit Court Panel - Judge Houston Brown, Judge Robert Vance, Judge Michael Graffeo, and Judge Jim Hughey.  Probate Court Panel - Judge Alan King and Judge Sherri Friday.  Program moderators are Rebecca Beers and Ryan Robichaux.

Approved by the Alabama State Bar for 3.0 hours MCLE Credit (including 0 ethics).  Current members of the BBA's Young Lawyers Section attend free of charge - all others may attend for $50.00 registration fee.  Click here for registration form which must be filled out and turned in when you arrive for CLE.
