The Commission solicits applications from interested candidates, and nominates to the Governor of Alabama three (3) persons having appropriate qualifications for a Circuit Court judgeship. Statutory composition of the Commission includes two persons who are members of the Alabama State Bar, two persons who are not members of the Alabama State Bar, and one judge of the Jefferson County Circuit Court.
Current Commission members

The Judicial Commission actively encourages and solicits comment from the public at large concerning any candidate for judicial office and his or her respective qualifications for judicial office. The names of submitting applicants are made available to the public as deemed appropriate by the Judicial Commission.
To contact the Commission directly and to submit application packages, please e-mail the Jefferson County Judicial Commission at firstname.lastname@example.org.
