BBA New Lawyers Mentoring Program
The New Lawyer Mentoring Program participants have been selected for the 2017 program, and applications for participation in the 2018 program will be available here in Fall of 2017.  Please check back!

The Birmingham Bar Association's New Lawyer Mentoring Program assists new lawyers in transitioning to an experienced to legal practitioner.  Qualified new lawyers (Mentees) are paired with experienced lawyers (Mentors) for a quality one-on-one mentoring experience.  Participation in the program is voluntary and free!  A brief history and overview of the program is linked here.

FOR MENTEES:  New lawyer BBA members who have been practicing for three years or less are invited to submit applications.  Applicants must be actively practicing law, and applications are accepted from September 15th through October 31st each year.  Submit a Mentee application hereNOTE:  Applications submitted now are for the Program that begins next January.

FOR MENTORS:  BBA lawyers who have practiced not less than 5 years are invited to apply to become a mentor.  The Program seeks experienced, professional and ethical lawyers who can assist Mentees as they transition to experienced practitioners.  Mentor participation is critically important, and applications are accepted year-round.  Submit a Mentor application here. NOTE:  Applications submitted now are for the Program that begins next January.

If you are an existing Mentor and would like to renew your commitment, or if you would like to nominate an experienced lawyer to be a Mentor, please e-mail info@birminghambar.org and note "Mentoring" in the subject line.
