Join us for breakfast and a CLE as attorney Elizabeth Sims, Conservation Director of Freshwater Land Trust, provides an overview of conservation easements and opportunities available from them for landowners.

Conservation easements are an effective tool for landowners that seek to protect the natural state of their land in perpetuity while maintaining property ownership. Landowners that donate a conservation easement to a qualified entity such as Freshwater Land Trust may be eligible for state and federal tax benefits, thus providing valuable financial and estate planning tools for landowners and their financial, legal, and real estate advisors.

1 hour of CLE credit - approval pending. BBA members pay $20 / Non-members pay $30.

Jointly presented by the Birmingham Bar Association and the Freshwater Land Trust.
