In response to the COVID crisis, Congress has made a number of changes to the tax laws that affect individuals and businesses. Needless to say, lawyers need to understand these changes to effectively advise clients; and even to manage our own affairs.

As a result, we are calling on the "Tax Girl" -- Kelly Phillips Erb**, a Senior Contributor at Forbes. In this timely webinar, Ms. Erb will answer some of the most common questions posed by clients:

  • "Am I eligible to apply for an Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL)? Who counts as an 'employee' for this purpose?"
  • "How do I apply for a Payback Protection Program (PPP) loan? What can I use the proceeds for? Is it true that I don't have to pay it back?"
  • "How do I take advantage of the new Employee Retention Credit (ERC)? Who is eligible? What are the limits to the tax credit I can claim under the ERC?"
  • "Can I deduct home office expenses now that I'm primarily working from home?"
  • "Are there any additional tax breaks or tax moves that my corporate clients can take advantage of during 2020?"

In addition, attendees will be able to submit their own questions to "Ask the Tax Girl."
